Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Briefing, equipment check, and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Camp (2,940 m)

Begin a steep climb through dense rainforest with towering trees and moss-covered paths. Overnight at Umbwe Camp.

Day 3: Umbwe to Barranco Camp (3,950 m)

The trail steepens as you ascend to the moorland zone. Reach Barranco Camp for dinner beneath the Great Barranco Wall.

Day 4: Barranco to Karanga Camp (3,960 m)

Climb the Barranco Wall, a thrilling section that rewards you with incredible views. Continue on a gentler path to Karanga Camp.

Day 5: Karanga to Barafu Camp (4,673 m)

A short but steep trek leads to Barafu Camp, the base for your summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the night ascent.

Day 6: Summit Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp (3,100 m)

Begin your climb before midnight, reaching the summit at sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp for overnight.

Day 7: Mweka → Moshi

Complete your descent through the rainforest and return to Moshi to celebrate your success.
